The yellow main cord carries the entire assembly consisting of the weather balloon, parachute and polystyrene probe, while the red cord acts as the prescribed predetermined breaking point. Both cords are easy to knot, do not fray and are supplied in sufficient length – perfect for a safe, compliant and successful launch of a weather balloon in the EU.

Note: The tensile strength of the red special cord used to release the payload is just under 230N, thus complying with the official regulations of the SERA regulation applicable in the EU, the Federal Aviation Authority and German Air Traffic Control.
